The Design Argument

Everyone is welcome to join us on Saturday 14 October from 3:00-4:30 for a talk by Professor Stuart Burgess about the Design Argument.

The Design Argument examines the exquisite complexity which we find all around us in nature and reasons that there must have been a designer, God.

The talk will be accessible to all so we hope to see you there!

Old Down Country Park

On Bank Holiday Monday, 27 May 2013, we had a church outing to Old Down Country Park. We enjoyed lovely grounds, good company and a game of kickball.

Wedding Reception

On 6 May 2013, we were delighted to be able to host a wedding reception for Piotr and Alicja Mackiewicz.

Piotr and Alicja became members of Zetland Evangelical Church on 7 April 2013, and they were married three weeks later on 27 April 2013, in Kraków, Poland. The wedding reception in Bristol, which included a short thanksgiving service, was held for local friends.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this such an enjoyable occasion.

Christmas Day 2012

On 25 December 2012, Zetland Evangelical Church held a joint meeting with Bristol International Church (formerly known as Bristol Korean Church).

For the past twelve years, the two churches have been meeting in the same building (4&6 North Road, St Andrews, Bristol, BS6 5AE). From 6 January 2013, Bristol International Church will be moving to St Matthew’s Church (Clare Road, Kingsdown, Bristol, BS6 5TB). Their meeting time will also change from 2:30pm to 1:30pm.

Further details can be found on the Bristol International Church website.

This Wednesday, at 7:45 pm, Andrew Love will be coming to speak to us about his work in Brazil.

Andrew and Jenny Love have been working as a missionaries in Brazil for more than a decade. They are part of the Unevangelized Fields Mission.

After Andrew has spoken about his work, there will be an opportunity for questions and a time for prayer. The meeting is scheduled to finish by 9:00 pm.

(For security purposes, the front door is usually locked after the start of the meeting. If you happen to arrive late, don’t worry. Just knock loudly or ring the doorbell. Someone will soon let you in!)

Thanksgiving

On Sunday 12 August, we gathered together with relatives and friends of Emem and Eleanor Ekwo to give thanks for the birth of their son, Elijah.

We praised God together and we prayed to him. We read a passage from God’s Word, the Bible, and we heard it explained. We also joined together for a meal.

It was a happy occasion.
